Introducing the Smarter Flush!

A Dual Flush Retrofit Replacement Kit

* Saves up to 50% of wasted water in a regular two-piece toilet.

* A family of four, in many cases, can save up to 25,000 gallons of water each and every year.

* The revolutionary dual-flush system does not use the old flapper system, chain or ball.

* The EPA tells us 80% of all flapper flush systems will leak within a few years of purchase.

* Smarter Flush A Dual Flush Retrofit Replacement Kit reduces the leaking problem for many years.

* The painful problem of chains and water float balls is eliminated with the Smarter Flush A Dual Flush Retrofit Replacement Kit

* The kit comes with stainless steel replacement bolts and wing nuts, thus eliminating rusting both in and outside the tank.

If you push the flush handle up, the toilet will flush the full tank of water in the toilet tank.

If you push the flush handle down, the toilet will flush only half of the water in the toilet tank.  (Half the capacity of the water in the toilet tank can be saved which could result in an average savings, for a family of 4, of 17,000 to 25,000 gallons of water each year.)

Fresh water crisis!

* 70% of the world is covered with water and less than 3% of this water is drinkably fresh.

* Rising water costs plus an increased world population puts fresh water at the top of a major conservation concern.

* By 2013, 36 states are expecting local, regional and statewide water shortages, even under non-drought conditions. (According to the United States Accounting Office.)

* In America between the dates 1950 and 2000 the population nearly doubled, however, in that same period of time American demand for water nearly tripled.

* Americans now use an average of 100 gallons of water each day. That’s enough to fill 1,600 drinking glasses.

* This increased demand has put additional stress on water supplies and distribution systems, threatening both human health and the environment.

* Because of the tremendous demand from the western states, the Colorado River no longer flows to the ocean.

* The Great Lakes’ states have passed legislation to concerve their precious water.

The History of the Dual-Flush Toilet

In 1980, because of a 10 year drought in Australia, the government issued a grant to a major Australian toilet manufacturer to develop the dual flush system. This system wasn’t developed last year, it was created 28 years ago!

Every MAJOR manufacturer, such as Kohler, American Standard, etc. sells a dual-flush toilet complete with the two-piece porcelain body, toilet seat and dual-flush interior. The average price of these complete toilets range $300-500.

The Problems: matching colors to the sink, and worrying about the footprint of the old toilet. On top of that, the removal of the previous system, you also have to bring in the new heavy porcelain, carry out the old and find a place to dispose of it as well as the land-fill problems.

Because this is a simple product, simple installation, very simple idea, know that this will revolutionize your own home!

The Evolution of the Water Flush Amounts of the Average Two-Piece Toilets Over the Years

If your toilet was manufactured:

Pre1982...............5-7 Gal

1982 - 1990...............................3-5 Gal

1990-1994.....................................................1.6 - 3.5 Gal

1994 - 2008...............................1.6 Gal

2009.......................1.2 Gal

40% of all the water consumed in the home is used by the flushing of toilet water.

Toilet Wastewater Savings

In many places you are charged for wastewater based on the amount of water used. In some areas, wastewater charges are higher than water rates! Replacing your old toilet can save water and wastewater. All water savings achieved by your new toilets will result in identical wastewater savings.

A recent study conducted in Seattle measured water use in single-family homes before and after installation of high efficiency toilets (DeOreo, et. al. 2001). About half of the toilets installed were standard 1.6 gallon per flush (gpf) models. the other half were dual flush toilets that offere a 0.8 gallon flush for liquid and a 1.6 gallon flush for solids

SMARTER FLUSH is a dual flush toilet conversion kit

The SMARTER FLUSH system is a revolutionary, new way to convert a 2 piece style toilet to save cost. Our retrofit kit fits into the tank of any two-piece toilet with a 2" discharge hole and effectively converts it into a dual flush toilet in less than 30 minutes.  A dual flush toilet allows users to choose a half flush for "liquid" waste and a full flush for "solid" waste, dramatically reducing a toilet's overall water usage by up to 50%.

Since it is estimated that 12% of all toilets with flappers leak, our flapper-less retrofit kit makes rubber flapper leaks a thing of the past.

“Dual Flush” means that the toilet has two flush options - the user has choices! One flush option is for flushing liquid waste which only requires half of the water in the toilet tank, and one flush option is for flushing solid waste which requires the full amount of water in the toilet tank. Flapper less means less maintenance.
